Are you ready?

1. Create a request to unlock your HUWAEI USB modem. Request Here. Request format should be:
Email Subject: HUWAEI Unlock Request
Model: <model>
IMEI: <imei no.>
Note: Unable to follow this simple instructions will be ignored.

2. As soon as we are able to get hold of your request, you will then receive the unlock code. So make sure you've entered a valid email. Have this unlock code ready on Step 6.

3. Download the HUWAEI Modem Code Writer.

4. Extract and Run.

5. Click on the "Please Select Com Port" button, click "Detect" and then choose the detected modem. Click "Accept".


6. Click the "Unlock Modem" button and then enter the unlock code sent to you on the small box that will appear. Click "OK".


Note: This has been tested a hundred times. You shouldn't be getting any error unless you send us a wrong IMEI and model. We will also be hoping that this will not be used for any monitization purpose. This should only be for personal use only.

For the information of our international readers, Globe Tattoo & Smart Bro prepaid are the two most popular mobile network in the Philippines. This instructions should apply to countries wherein their mobile network also offers prepaid internet using ZTE or HUWAEI usb modem.

Let's get started:

1. Download Freegate and Ultrasurf. There's no installation needed. They're standalone applications which can run anywhere even on emulated Linux environment.

2. Run your usb modem's dashboard and get it connected.

3. Run Freegate. Go to Tunnel tab and then select "Use F4 Tunnel". You should be on Proxy Mode.


4. Click ok and restart if it requires you.

5. Coming back from restart, Freegate will try to scan for server. When it's able to connect to one of the servers detected, you will be prompted with the connection status.


6. Check on the Server tab. You will see the list of servers detected.


7. Open Ultrasurf. Click the Options button. Click on Proxy Settings button. For IP: 127.0.0.1 Port 8580. Click OK >> OK and then restart Ultrasurf. When connected to Freegate, it will automatically open Internet Explorer prompting you to the Ultrasur search page.


8. Now you're ready. Set you browsers proxy settings to point to IP: 127.0.0.1 Port: 9666

Note: If you thought of using the latest Freegate version 6.96. Don't! It takes longer for this version to detect servers available.
